ARTMS, the latest K-Pop sensation formed by HeeJin, HaSeul, Kim Lip, JinSoul, and Choerry, has made a remarkable debut with their album <Dall> (Devine All Love & Live). Their groundbreaking debut features the track "Virtual Angel," a mesmerising dance anthem infused with Y2K Eurodance vibes and ethereal undertones. This track, which challenges perceptions of reality and virtuality, showcases ARTMS's innovative approach to music.

The album, celebrated for its thematic depth and diverse sound, has already garnered international acclaim. We had the opportunity to sit down with the members to discuss their artistic evolution, the creative process behind <Dall>, and their eagerly awaited “Moonshot” World Tour.

How would you describe ARTMS's music style?

JinSoul: I think ARTMS’s music style takes a bit of LOONA’s style and adds a bit of maturity and mysteriousness to it.

How has the dynamic between the five of you evolved from when you first met till now?

HaSeul: We get along very well, but we’ve become even closer and developed family-like feelings. So as you can see, we get along very well.

HeeJin: And as we got more involved in producing our album, we gave each other lots of feedback. We hold lots of meetings between us too. Our opinions and communications are smooth and we became even closer over time.

What was the recording process like for your new album, <Dall>?

Kim Lip: We got to try new genres while preparing for this album. We matched our voices to the song we were singing, and this helped us improve a step further, so I’m happy.

What message or feeling do you hope listeners take away from <Dall>?

Choerry: Since this is our full group album, we helped each other by giving some directing advice and did our best to create the perfect songs.

HaSeul: Our album <Dall> contains many genres. From our title song to “Butterfly Effect” and pre-release song “Birth,” we show a wide variety of genres. “Butterfly Effect” is filled with lore and meaning that feels connected to LOONA’s “Butterfly.” You’ll be able to enjoy the album more by listening to it in the order of the track list.

What are each of your favourite songs from the new album, <Dall>, and why?

HeeJin: All of the songs in our album are great, so it’s hard to pick a favourite. But these days, I’m loving “Birth” because we’re soon holding our concert. When we first performed this song at our showcase, the fans were shocked to the point that they reacted a few seconds later. It’s an aspect that I’m looking forward to during this performance. I tend to feel expectant whenever I practise this song, and that’s why I choose “Birth.”

JinSoul: I personally picked “Butterfly Effect” because it was my favourite song since we’ve been recording it. I still have lots of affection for this song. It’s a grand song that was used for the opening of our showcase. The song has a strong beat as well, so I like this song.

How are you all prepping for your upcoming “Moonshot” World Tour?

Kim Lip: We already went on a tour as ODD EYE CIRCLE, and now we’re going on a tour as ARTMS. Since it’s an important tour for us and something we’ve been thinking about a lot since preparing the <Dall> album, we’re putting in lots of effort to see our fans. We hope many OURII will attend and enjoy the tour.

What can fans expect from your upcoming "Moonshot" World Tour?

Choerry: Please look forward to our performances. Since our songs are from various genres, I think you’ll be able to see our many charms.

Any message for your Singapore fans?

Kim Lip: Our Singaporean OURII and fans, ARTMS is currently busy preparing for the tour. There will be fans seeing us for the first time, so we’re nervous. But we’re busy preparing for the tour and running to you, so please wait a little and give us lots of love!
