What does love mean to you? For Roh Yoon-Seo, it’s the act of giving without expecting anything in return. The South Korean actress shared her heartfelt insights and more as we caught up with her during the Cartier Trinity 100 anniversary celebration in Singapore.
When asked about love, she immediately thought of The Giving Tree, a book about selfless love. She recalled witnessing someone who found immense joy in giving love without expecting anything in return. "The act of giving itself made the person very happy," she mused. "Whether it's love for a friend, a dog, or a partner, as long as it's based on love, love is about wanting to give generously without any conditions."

Roh’s admiration for the Cartier Trinity collection was equally passionate. She highlighted three pieces she adores. "First is the Cartier Trinity Cushion Ring. Unlike the round shape, I find the square shape to be a bit more chic and unique, so I wear it often." Her second is the Cartier Trinity Cushion Necklace. "The way the three rings hang diagonally and vertically is very chic. It adds a nice touch to any outfit, so I often wear it daily, matching it with the ring." Lastly, she marvelled at the Trinity Necklace she wore for the event. "I saw this piece in person for the first time here, and it's incredibly beautiful. The twist in the middle creates a distinctive silhouette that I find very pretty."

When it comes to styling these exquisite pieces, Roh’s approach is elegant yet effortless. "For my daily outfit, I often match the Trinity ring and necklace. I also pair them with my Tank Louis Cartier watch. It gives a focal point to a simple look and a touch of elegance. I wear them both separately or together."
Outside her busy acting schedule, Roh finds solace in the simple pleasures of life. "Lately, my favourite activity is walking through alleys at night. The weather is cool and pleasant, and I love looking at the dark sky, the leaves, and feeling the breeze. Listening to music while walking slowly makes me feel very happy and healed. I also ride my bicycle a lot."
Her passion for acting is undeniable. “It's always difficult to fully live and breathe as the character in that moment, but sometimes, even if just for a second, when I fully become the character, that fleeting moment is incredibly fun and enjoyable. I constantly long for that moment and love it."
