Olivia Rodrigo’s you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love

Photo: Courtesy of Universal Music

You can count on her to write anthems from heartbreaking ballads to dancy love songs that hold more than their catchy hooks suggest. In her third studio album, the singer-songwriter delivers a 13-track record that reads like diary entries. A tell-tale chronicle of what Olivia herself calls her "first adult relationship." It opens with the dizzying rush of infatuation, evoking the sensation of running through Versailles in lead single "drop dead," before slowly unravelling the realisation that the thrill was never the cure to what she truly felt. As a slow poison seeps into the illusion of the "perfect couple," the candid narrator surfaces an illness no doctor can diagnose. Turns out, the initial fever was never just infatuation, but a symptom of her limerence all along.

Olivia Rodrigo’s you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love is streaming on all platforms now.

Obsession

What To Do In Singapore This Weekend: 12 to 14 June
Photo: Courtesy of Universal Pictures

Be careful what your inner desires wish for. When a hopeless romantic casts his wish upon the "One Wish Willow" to make his childhood crush fall in love with him, let's just say things didn't go as planned. Written and directed by Curry Barker, the film is led by Michael Johnston as Bear and Inde Navarette as Nikki. If you've recently been spending time on social media, chances are you've already heard of the latter. Navarette's extraordinarily chilling performance firmly places her in the horror scream queen hall of fame. Expect equal parts jolts, dread, and a gnawing post-watch reflection on the horrors of modern-day dating. No, no, no… You thought you were having a nice date, didn't you? You might want to sleep with the lights on after this.

Obsession will be on from now till 24 June 2026 at Filmhouse, Golden Mile Tower, 6001 Beach Rd, #05-00. For more information, showtimes and tickets, visit their website.

The members of LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT and KATSEYE join forces to clap back at the haters, and they're unbothered as ever. In the action-packed music video released last Wednesday, the girls are on their best behaviour. In strangeness and disorder, they're exactly where they belong. Hate them all you want; the HYBE Girls are dancing and roasting s'mores in the raging flames like it's nothing.

BTS’ Come Over

It’s been thirteen years since BTS introduced themselves to the world. The global K-pop band celebrated the occasion with the ARMYs in their annual anniversary event FESTA, and released “Come Over” as their newest single. Before the track was released digitally, it was only available in the ARIRANG deluxe vinyl. Produced by Suga, the song follows the band’s signature anthemic-style that is guaranteed to bring ARMYs singing along on their ongoing stadium tours. The members’ distinct vocals boom against powerful beats that are reminiscent of rhythmic claps inside a stadium. The track conveys a heart that finds its way back to its haven, in moments when it feels lost.

BTS’s Come Over is streaming on all platforms now.

Ariana Grande's Hate That I Made You Love Me

Just know that the she'll find her way to you. Kicking off her Petal era, the songstress' hit lead single has sent the internet into a frenzy since its release. In usual Grande fashion, the vocalist stacks her vocals to create layered harmonies. Hypnotic synth textures and her low-register voice signal a new musical era we've yet to see Ariana Grande explore. If this is just the beginning, the Petal era may just have more surprises ready to bloom.

Ariana Grande’s Hate That I Made You Love Me is streaming on all platforms now.
