The tides are turning in the J-pop sphere, with the once insular, CD-based market finally embracing the global music industry. Riding that wave is BE:FIRST, a seven-member boy band quickly solidifying their place amongst the top idol groups not just in Japan, but the world. Nearly four years after their hard-fought debut—when its members beat out eight other hopefuls on the television competition THE FIRST—the septet finally embarked on their maiden world tour ‘Who Is BE:FIRST?’ this year, which they successfully wrapped up with an explosive sold-out show at the Capitol Theatre here in Singapore.

While they were in town, ELLE Singapore met up with Junon, Leo, Sota, Shunto, Manato and Ryuhei for an interview, where they walked us down memory lane through some of the biggest milestones of their career, artistry and enduring brotherhood.
