Let's get down to business.
Published: March 12, 2024

At this point in his career, Bright Vachirawit Chivaaree needs no introduction—but here's one anyway. The Bright we all know and love today seemingly rose to fame overnight after starring alongside Metawin Opas-iamkajorn in GMMTV’s 2gether: The Series. But the truth is, his first foray into the entertainment industry began a decade ago as a television host on Strawberry Krubcake, a variety show on Thailand’s Channel 3. And it wasn’t until he auditioned for GMM25 New Face 2018 and got signed by the Thai digital terrestrial channel did he truly start his acting career.

Today, he’s the global ambassador for Burberry, brand ambassador for Calvin Klein and Adidas, founder of his own company, Cloud9 Entertainment and fashion and lifestyle brand astrostuffs … the list goes on. And he’s showing no signs of slowing down.

The 26-year-old Thai heartthrob was recently in Singapore for the Kiehl’s Brightest Skin Experience pop-up launch event at VivoCity. We caught up with him for a little chat on his new film The Interest, new music, skincare routine and more.

Congratulations on the growing success of Cloud9 Entertainment. Why was it important to you to do so, how has life changed for you now that you’re on the flipside of things?

Founding my own company has been one of my biggest dreams. It was important to me that this company be able to support the work that I do, and I think that everything is getting better and better. Actually, my life hasn’t really changed much because I’m still doing the same kind of work. The only difference is that I now have a team that I hand picked myself, and I can work in the way that I want to. I’m so happy right now.

Tell us about The Interest, your upcoming Thai film. What interested you about this role, and what was it like performing your own stunts?

This movie was very interesting to me because it’s about a debt collector who was raised in Pattaya, Thailand. I also found the character and the environment he was in to be very interesting. I accepted this role for a few reasons. The first being the script. From the first time I read it, I knew that this movie was going to be so cool. I also think that this character is attractive in his own way. The second reason is that I got to work with one of my favourite actresses, Urassaya Sperbund.

Performing my own stunts was very tiring. If I could request for one thing in my next project it would be to have someone else do it. It was very fun, but also very hard.

Your fans in Singapore, and all over the world, are looking forward to new music from you. Do you have anything to share on this front?

First, I’d like to say that I’m very sorry. My initial plan was to release it last month, but we had a little problem with it which we have to fix. We want to make it the best it can be, so our plans changed. That said, we’re planning on releasing it within March.

The song is called ‘Long Run’, and I think you guys will love it.

What is your skincare routine like?

My skincare routine is very simple. I just wash my face and put on my serums, moisturiser, and eye cream—it’s very simple. One of my favourite skincare products is the Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution. It helps with correcting your dark spots and brightens your complexion.

Lastly, what else can we look forward to from you in the near future?

I will be performing in many festivals and recording new music. I might even make another movie, because why not?
