Keng Harit is quite undeniably the quintessential heartthrob: Tall, dark, and handsome. But what truly sets him apart from just any pretty face was his compelling portrayal of a shaman in the recent hit series, Khemjira. The series was a nationwide phenomenon, captivating audiences who tuned in while riding pillion on motorbikes (dangerous, I know!) or eating dinner in a restaurant. Keng has since been hailed as the most dashing and charismatic shaman to ever grace the screen. After all, it’s highly uncommon for you to see a spiritual practitioner wearing a simple dress shirt with rolled up sleeves and sporting a pair of shades. Riding the wave of the show’s success, the actor has become one of the most sought-after celebrities in the industry currently, receiving a steady stream of endorsements and invitations to events.

Before he became the nation’s favourite on-screen shaman, Keng was training to be a Thai language teacher in rural Phayao, where he grew up and graduated with a degree in education. Though he had always harboured dreams of joining the entertainment industry, the pandemic delayed his ambition, leading him to pursue a career in teaching. But his striking looks were not meant to be hidden for long. All it took was for a viral TikTok video of him to catch the public’s attention and was instantly dubbed as “the handsome teacher” overnight. His active participation and high placements in male beauty pageants further affirmed his undeniable star potential.

Keng ventured into showbiz after joining a TV reality show—introduced by his current talent agency Domundi— where trainee actors take part in missions to hone their acting skills. He got his first big break with his silver screen debut in Paradise of Thorns (2024), alongside Jeff Satur and Engfa Waraha. His portrayal as Jingna, the younger brother of Mo (played by Engfa), who moves in to work at Thongkam’s (played by Jeff) durian orchard, showcased his ability to play a nuanced character. It earned him a nomination for the Best Supporting Actor Award at the Thai National Film Association Awards this year. The film itself received widespread critical acclaim for its social commentary on marriage inequality, cementing his status as an actor with strong screen presence and acting depth.
Keng’s popularity sky-rocketed this year with the supernatural-romance boy’s love series, Khemjira. As Master Paran, a young shaman who uses his powers to protect the main protagonist from a family curse, he has won the hearts of many with his commanding presence. The performance earned him the Male Rising Star Of The Year Award at the Maya TV Awards 2025 last month, solidifying his place as one of Thailand’s most exciting rising stars to watch.
Besides acting, Keng has also been recognised for his exceptional vocal talent. While fans have always seen him singing covers for events, the star has recently released his own solo single “Mantra”, which also happens to be the original soundtrack for Khemjira.
Given his visual appeal and history in the pageant circuit, Keng has also been a steady growing presence in the style scene—walking the runway for Thai fashion label ISSUE during Bangkok International Fashion Week 2025, and attending high-profile events like Cartier’s Siam Paragon Flagship Opening Party. With his star rising and his style credentials stacking up, all eyes are on what Keng will deliver next year.
