On July 1, it was announced that The Summer I Turned Pretty star Lola Tung had joined the cast of a new A24 film titled Please. The movie is being directed by Halina Reijn, known for her work on Babygirl and Bodies Bodies Bodies.
Here’s everything we know about the film so far.
What is Please about?
So far, the story is being kept quiet, but it will be written by Reijn and produced under her production company, Man Up Film, per Deadline. She’ll also be working with one of her favourite artistic collaborators, David Hinojosa, with A24’s Zach Nutman executive producing.
In Reijn’s previous works, the comedy slasher Bodies Bodies Bodies and the erotic thriller Babygirl, which starred Nicole Kidman, explore themes of violence, sexuality, and power relationships, accompanied by a strong comedic perspective.
