All eyes were on Margot Robbie as she stepped out for the premiere of A Big Bold Beautiful Journey in London last night, wearing a coruscating, semi-sheer Giorgio Armani Privé gown. The actor's head-turning ensemble, part of the House's spring 2025 couture collection, was complemented by an equally shimmering, yet slightly softer, beauty aesthetic, created by stalwart make-up artist Pati Dubroff.

"The inspiration behind Margot’s make-up for the premiere was about reflecting the spectacular sparkle of her dress," shares Dubroff, who describes drawing tones from the intricate beadwork and translating them into subtle washes of colour on her eyes, lips, and cheeks. "The look needed to feel very clean and fresh, but with that little something extra—a soft radiance and a touch of sparkle that echoed the dress beautifully," she shares.

As for the products responsible for Robbie's ethereal glow, Dubroff focused on natural radiance, using the Chanel Les Beiges Bronzing Cream to add warmth and definition on the cheeks, adding pops of colour via the new multi-dimensional eyeshadow quad, Les 4 Ombres Boutons, to emulate the shimmer on the dress.

While Robbie is revered for her timeless yet often experimental looks on the red carpet, the actor is decidedly more pared-back off the red carpet. "Margot is definitely more of a minimalist when she’s off the red carpet. She has such naturally beautiful skin and features that she doesn’t need or want much. Her day-to-day beauty is very soft and effortless—she tends to keep things pared-back, focusing more on skincare and just the lightest touches of make-up," Dubroff explains. "Think fresh skin, a little colour on the cheeks, brushed-up brows, and for lips, she loves a tinted lip balm. It’s about enhancing without ever feeling overdone."

As is the case with any red carpet glow, skincare is often the unsung hero. "Margot takes her skincare very seriously. She knows that a healthy lifestyle is the foundation for great skin, so she really prioritises that," says Dubroff. "Before a big event, she makes sure her skin is well cared for and hydrated, because she understands that when the skin is in good shape, the make-up will always look its best." For the premiere, a skin-first approach and focus on hydration were instrumental in helping to create Robbie's fresh-faced finish, which resulted in a timeless look with just the right amount of sparkle.
