Presenting an animated tableau set against a deep-blue guilloché mother-of-pearl dial, a butterfly takes flight along the dial's periphery to mark the minutes. At the end of the hour, it retraces its path via a retrograde mechanism, while an aperture for the jumping hours is located at 11 o’clock.
