Barely two months in and it looks like 2025 is shaping up to be a busy year for BLACKPINK’s Jennie Kim. Her first-ever solo tour happening in March was announced at about the same time as BLACKPINK’s 2025 world tour was officially confirmed. Plus, songs from her upcoming album, Ruby, which is set to be released on 6 March, have been dominating the airwaves since late last year. The latest is "Love Hangover", featuring Dominic Fike, which aired just a week ago.

And, of course, being the good brand ambassador she is, the music video shows her wearing two looks from Chanel’s spring/summer 2025 collection as she goes on a string of disastrous dates with yummilicious actor-director Charles Melton. The song is as catchy as the music video is adorably quirky. Instantly recognisable for the quilt motif that has been gracing Chanel’s designs since the 1920s, the new Coco Crush range features over 30 new iterations, with a new pavé setting technique resulting in new diamond-set motifs gracing its curved, engraved surfaces. Fresh motif designs also feature in the collection, with the “C” and “O” letters of COCO appearing on mobile earrings and pendant necklaces that beg to be played with. Then, there’re the pendant necklace and bracelet that feature a singel ruby in their midst for that vibrant pop of colour in homage to Gabrielle Chanel’s favourite hue. It’s the first time that a precious gem other than diamonds has appeared in the collection, and Chanel has made sure that it’s employed to its fullest visual effect.
