Turns out Coldplay's Singapore trip last year wasn't just about their six sold-out concerts—they were busy filming a music video which pays homage to the Lion City!
"Man in the Moon," from the “Full Moon Edition” of their chart-topping album Moon Music, is a vibrant celebration of Singapore, its hidden gems, iconic landmarks, and its awesome people. Think star-crossed cosplayers, emo goth teens rocking out on a Chinatown rooftop, a wild ice cube slide, a rave on a floating pontoon in the middle of Marina Bay... it's definitely a vibe.

The video also showcases iconic spots like the Singapore Flyer, Gardens by the Bay, S.E.A Aquarium, Marina Bay Sands, Fort Canning Park, and Jewel's majestic indoor rainforest, as well as local neighbourhoods and coffeeshops. Also, if you look closely, you’ll also notice some familiar local personalities in the crowd.

“We are interested in shooting things in places we have never filmed before and mixing people up as much as possible,” the band said. “It was really fun to have a kind of dance party out in the middle of the water, just us and the otters."

Directed by Ben Mor (known for his work on Coldplay's "Hymn For The Weekend") in partnership with Warner Music Singapore and the Singapore Tourism Board, "Man in the Moon" was filmed during the band's "Music of the Spheres" tour stop in Singapore back in January 2024.
So, if you're looking for some serious Singaporean pride and a catchy Coldplay song, hit play. It’s a feel-good way to kick off the weekend!
