Delve into the imaginative world of Hermès with its "On the Wings of Hermès" audiovisual experience. Dreamed up by Belgian director Jaco Van Dormael and choreographer Michèle Anne De Mey, this poetic and cinematic masterpiece promises to transport guests to a mystical dream universe.

Featuring a series of sets resembling film studios, contrasting light is used to spotlight seven sketches revealed, one after another. The magic continues with fantastical scenes of the fable of Pegasus, the mythical winged horse, and his seven foals. These imaginative works of art honour the masterful hands of the house's artisans, who have created some of fashion's most iconic and luxurious pieces.
“This work metaphorically illustrates the lightness that is omnipresent at Hermès: in the delicate hands of our craftspeople sewing with two needles at once, in the elegance of materials and in the subtle notes of a perfume. It is an experience which sparks the imagination, designed by the artisans of dreams,” says Pierre-Alexis Dumas, Artistic Director of Hermès.

The performances blend the graceful moves of the Astragales Dance Company, with object theatre, music and cinema, to discover a tale through seven performances. Dancers and image technicians work in tandem against vibrant backdrops to bring to life the enchanting world of Hermès. All seven performances have a unique set up—landscapes and utopian worlds where fairytale figurines, Hermès objects and choreography of twirling hands mesh in collective harmony to present the poetic and artful nature of the house.

In a magical mini circus, the iconic Hermès Kelly bags come alive, forming a humorous opera. The fairytale unfolds further with a lyrical flight of interlacing gloves, a dance sequence depicting two entwined lovers carried away by the wind into a bright blue sky. Captured in real-time by director Van Dormael, the scenes are projected onto a giant screen, recreating the magic of the illusion.

The immersive creation is set to land in Singapore promising an experience that embodies the playful, lighthearted spirit of Hermès. In addition to the spell-binding performances, visitors will also get to discover the 35-minute film inspired by the performance—an extension of this poetic experience. "On the Wings of Hermès" will open its doors from 19 to 28 July 2024 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre.
