A collaboration between two streetwear juggernauts, Heron Preston and H&M's H2 collection is a marriage between functionality and radical ingenuity. Inspired by the concept of the power of two' and the iconoclastic spirit of New York, the H2 collection explores themes of duality, versatility and human connection amidst a bustling concrete jungle.

Designed with a unisex approach, the collection comprises an eclectic mix of androgynous pieces and womenswear. Borrowing Preston's expertise in elevated workwear, key pieces include boxy reversible bomber jackets, long-sleeve jerseys and a variety of staples such as reversible hoodies and oversized t-shirts. Combined with H&M's contemporary take on street style, what you get is a multi-faceted collection that spendidly reflects the design codes of both houses.
The first of a long line of future collections to come, this debut collection marks the start of a new creative partnership—one that will feature regular seasonal collections and kickstart a creative advisory program.

A Feminine Touch
For those seeking a femme fatale-esque streetwear look, Heron Preston and H&M sure understood the assignment. Styled with a less-is-more ethos, the striking pieces include body-hugging bodysuits, lace-up corsets, casual tank tops, knee-high boots and even a full catsuit. For that extra oomph, H2 also offers a curated range of accessories to choose from.

Functional Streetwear
Anchored in the design philosophy of everyday style, streetwear staples like oversized jerseys and t-shirts layered over long-sleeved tops took centre stage. Elsewhere, the outfits were accentuated using MA1 bomber jackets and the recurring "Unity" motif for a distinctive yet cohesive look. For bottoms, utilitarian classics like the straight-cut denim jeans were reinvented with contrasting colour seams and a print text motif on the back.
More on the Creative Advisory Program
Also launching in tandem with this debut collection is H2 Exchange—an advisory program that fuses Preston's creative leadership and H&M's circular initiatives with community and sustainability. Under the mentorship of Preston himself, this fashion program aims to empower a new generation of designers with innovative skillsets, encouraging both creators and consumers to participate in circular fashion.
The debut H2 collection will launch in-store and at hm.com on 14 March 2024.
