Also known as the Pearl of the Orient Seas, Manila is a city built on contrasts. Its colonial Spanish architecture stands shoulder to shoulder with towering skyscrapers, while old cathedrals and bustling wet markets sit just blocks away from the sleek condominiums and rooftop lounges of Bonifacio Global City—the prime business district where H&M is showcasing its fall/winter 2025 collections.

High above the city, on the 66th floor of the Grand Hyatt Manila, celebrities and style icons from across the region gather for the H&M showcase featuring its Chapter 1, Chapter 2, H&M Studio, and H&M Atelier collections. This event follows the brand’s presentation at London Fashion Week just days prior, where H&M unveiled its latest interpretation of British pop culture to the world: Artfully fused heritage patterns are paired with romantic textures, resulting in collections that buzz with contemporary energy.
The evening opens with an exclusive TikTok Masterclass, hosted by Filipino content creator Mika Salamanca and ELLE Singapore’s May 2025 digital cover star, Willabelle Ong. Together, the digital creators discuss their views on personal branding, while offering tips on how to stand out and succeed in today’s fast-paced digital landscape.

As night falls, we are ushered into the dining room with a breathtaking view of the city’s skyline. Set in the centre of the room is a long banquet table, beautifully adorned with flowers and candlelights that cast a soft, romantic glow. The event is graced by a star-studded turnout—from Korean pop idol Jinyoung and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray to Vietnamese influencer Tran Tieu Vy—who have all flown into the city to take in the new collections.

Once guests are seated, the show begins with the H&M Studio line where sequins, mesh, and sensual slits take centre stage. Ten standout looks are unveiled, with pencil skirts, and a slip dress and sweater combo, getting nods of approval for its chic versatility. Next is the Chapter 1 collection, a nostalgic throwback to the ’90s where classic British tailoring is remixed with lace trimmings and soft chiffon. The show ends with the Chapter 2 collection’s bold, rebellious, and grungy vibes. As ’80s rock music blares through the air, we’re treated to eveningwear elevated with a punk rock twist, complete with faux fur, leather, and lace details being strutted down runway. Overall, the show presents rich textures, sharp tailoring, and bold silhouettes that set the tone for confident dressing.
The evening continues with an intimate dinner, followed by an after-party with pulsating music, delicious cocktails and impeccable company. As H&M’s guests raise their glasses against the city’s skyline, the night closes on one truth: Style may travel, but tonight, it found its spotlight in Manila.
