The MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) brought together the biggest names in music two nights ago. From top global artists like Tyla to rising girl groups like KATSEYE, all our favourite musicians were in the heart of New York City to celebrate the industry's most inspiring and successful talents.
Lady Gaga, like the absolute Mother that she is, rightfully claimed Artist of the Year. Sabrina Carpenter walked away with not one, but two awards for Best Pop and Best Album. Lisa, together with Doja Cat and Raye, took home the Best K-pop award for their hit single, “Born Again”, and Rosé's hit song with Bruno Mars, "APT", won Song of the Year.

However, as we all know, the VMAs is never just about music—it is a showcase of fashion, too. While no official best-dressed trophy was handed out, the red carpet provided lots of stand-out fashion moments. Like the adorable polka-dotted peplum Fendi dress worn by Ariana Grande, who walked away with three awards that night—Video of the Year, Best Pop and Best Long Form Video. Scroll down to discover who got our absolute votes for the night.
Sabrina Carpenter
What’s not to love about Sabrina Carpenter's outfit? Turning heads in a sensuous red lace dress, she definitely had one of the best looks of the evening. The floor-length custom gown by Valentino had just the right touch of shimmer for added glamour, while the lilac faux fur shawl piled on the playfulness.

Doja Cat
Doja Cat is no stranger to attention—and she made sure not to disappoint that night, too. Bearing her chest in a harlequin-printed Balmain dress with a hot pink crystal neckline, it was Dolly Parton done with plenty of edge, complete with a long blonde, blown-out wig. And for an extra sprinkle of drama? She chewed up a piece of her lipstick after reapplying it on her lips for the camera (a nod to her recent yummy collaboration with MAC Cosmetics; check our Instagram for more).
Ciara
Singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress... the only thing that Ciara cannot do is be boring. She turned it up with a bright red Schiaparelli dress that could stop traffic. It had form, it had structure, and it had oversized zipper hardware to ground it all down. Gianvito Rossi slingback pumps completed her outfit.
Tyla
Everyone knows by now that Tyla never disappoints. Winning the category of Best Afrobeats, she wore a Chanel top as an ultra-short dress. She definitely would have taken home the tiniest outfit award, if there was such a prize. To accessorise, she piled chunky gold Pandora jewellery on her neck, wrists, and waist, adding some glam to her look.

FKA Twigs
In an oxblood look that could be best described as Mad Max meets Freddy Krueger, FKA Twigs took grunge to the next level with a set from Matières Fécales, a Parisian label known for its avant-garde designs. To complete her outfit to perfection, her hair was braided into headphones with spikes behind them.
Mariah Carey
Mariah Carey looked stunning in a golden rhinestone-studded playsuit paired with matching boots and a diamond necklace-earring set from Levuma. While she skipped the red carpet altogether, she appeared in this sparkly fit on stage to perform a medley of her top hits and eventually took home two awards—the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award and the Best R&B Video.
Tate McRae
Tate McRae wore a see-through white gown from French label Ludovic de Saint Sernin,. Striking the perfect balance between innocent and provocative, the lingerie-inspired design featured a bralette top with sheer fabric cascading to the floor. Looking sweet and angelic, our new favourite popstar took home Song of the Summer and Best Editing.
Rosé
Winner of Song of the Year, pop icon Rosé received her first VMA award in a sequin fringe gown designed by Oscar de la Renta. The star debuted the brand’s spring/summer 2026 collection that night—simple, yet chic and perfect for Rosé’s style.
