With this year's theme of Costume Art, alongside a dress code exploring the relationship between clothes and the body in reference to art history and the exhibition, the glitterati showed up in their best garments and visages for the night. Beyoncé
After a decade, Beyoncé made her grand return to the Met steps as one of the co-chairs this year. Alongside her husband Jay-Z and daughter Blue Ivy, the singer wore a custom diamond-encrusted look by Olivier Rousteing and paired it with her signature soft glam with a cream shades, fluttery lashes, high-placement blush, matte lips, and voluminous curls.

Chase Infiniti
Rising star Chase Infiniti stole the show for her Met Gala debut with a colourful Thom Browne number. She complimented the ensemble with big, voluminous curls with honey tips, glistening skin, flushed cheeks, and glossy nude lip.

Euphoria star Hunter Schafer looked divine in custom Prada. Referencing Gustav Klimt's Mäda Primavesi, the actress kept her complexion matte with soft blues on the lids and pink on the cheeks and lips. She styled her hair in soft curls and accessorised with a bow clip.
Bad Bunny
Who left their abuelo on the Met steps? Oh, that's just Bad Bunny. The rapper was almost unrecognisable as he showed up looking 50 years older—with white hair and wrinkled skin—in custom Prada.
Jisoo
Making her Met Gala debut, JISOO was a vision in custom Dior by Jonathan Anderson. The singer paired her floral pink gown with an elegant updo, complete with face framing tendrils and floral hair piece alongside a romantic pink visage.
Lisa
A "Bad Angel" arrived at the Met as Lisa turned heads in a custom Robert Wun. The superstar paired the look with a sculptural half-up hairstyle, blue-silver smokey eye, iridescent highlighter, and glitter across her face and hair. She took it up a notch with 3D nail art.
Anok Yai
Anok Yai was a vision in custom Balenciaga for the Met Gala. The supermodel took notes from The Black Madonna and Mater Dolorosa with her painted head to toe in bronze, sculptural hair, and 3D tears adorning her cheeks.

Emma Chamberlain kicked things off in style with a stunning custom Mugler number. She paired the look with long lashes, a pop of yellow on the inner corners, powder matte lips, and a wispy pixie cut.
