2025 has already been a whirlwind year for Singaporean singer-songwriter Alfred Sun, whose blend of heartfelt storytelling and evocative visuals is carving out a unique space in the music industry. One of the standout moments of his year so far is his collaboration with Dior, where his latest single "BLOOM" will be the soundtrack to a music video perfectly timed with the launch of the Miss Dior Pop-up: The Couture Twirl. The pop-up in collaboration with The Shilla Duty Free is now open at Changi Airport Terminal 3 till 11 March.
This creative partnership is inspired by Miss Dior’s celebration of love, freshness, and youth—values that mirror Alfred’s own journey. “2025 has already been exciting!” he shares. “I’m really focused on connecting more deeply with my music and the people who listen to it. I’m looking forward to what this year brings and to continuing to share my journey with everyone.”

One of the highlights of Alfred's journey this year is his new single "BLOOM" which marks a new direction in his musical style. “It’s my first ballad, and it feels like a real shift in my music,” he reveals. “It’s written from a place of love, loss, and self-reflection, and it’s the first time I feel like I’m showing a more vulnerable and different side of myself.”
This transformation is visually captured in the music video for "BLOOM", where Alfred nurtures a paper-mâché flower, symbolising his own growth. As the flower catches fire and dies, Alfred undergoes a transformation, realising that true growth comes from focusing inward.

Alfred’s journey into music began at 17 when he stepped out of his comfort zone to audition for a K-pop scout. “I initially auditioned for dance but was suddenly asked to sing on the spot. That moment changed everything,” he recalls. Since then, his path has been anything but conventional, from competing on The Voice (Singapore and Malaysia) in 2017 to releasing his first single in 2021. His creative process, he explains, is always rooted in his vision for the choreography, concept, and vibe first, with the music coming together after that.
