We might only be halfway through the year, but 2026 is shaping up to be the year of Southeast Asian pop dominance, with acts across the region rightfully gaining more global recognition than ever. Among them is Filipino boy band BGYO, who have earned themselves a passionate fanbase with their sound—an energetic blend of electronic dance-pop, R&B and soul—and the vocals and dance moves to back it up.

The group, completed by members Gelo, Akira, JL, Mikki and Nate, was formed by ABS-CBN's the Star Hunt Academy program in 2018. Prior to BGYO's debut in 2021 with their single "The Light", the quintet underwent training with mentors from the Philippines and South Korea, perfecting their skills and building a powerful rapport as a team. Over the years, they've gone on to release a string of studio albums and EPs, staged national tours and performed at festivals like Summer Sonic Bangkok and 1MX in Toronto.

Now, BGYO are back with their third EP On Demand, led by the single "Fresh", along with a music video for the track "Forever Tonight". In celebration of the release, BGYO sat down with ELLE Singapore for an exciting game of superlatives.
