When Ichigo Ichie closes on Sundays and Mondays, a new restaurant quietly takes its place. Running until 31 July, KOU is a Japanese-French pop-up by Chef Tan Kian Hong, who spent the last seven years working alongside Ichigo Ichie's Chef Akane Eno before being given the opportunity to helm a concept of his own. Rooted in Japanese seasonality and shaped by French technique, the menus are designed to evolve with the market, though a few signatures remain. The seven-course Discovery Menu is priced at $88++ for lunch, while the nine-course Signature Menu is available for both lunch and dinner at $188++. Highlights include house-made mochi bread served warm with seasonal flavoured butters, a chilled chawanmushi layered with sweet white corn and finished with aromatic coffee oil, premium three-year-aged Miwa somen in an eight-hour broth, and Awabi, where abalone is encased in buttery puff pastry and paired with both traditional liver sauce and red wine sauce. Fans of Meta can now enjoy a more accessible taste of Chef Sun Kim's cooking at HighHouse. As part of the rooftop destination's ongoing “The High Table” collaboration series, the two-Michelin-starred chef has created six exclusive dishes that blend his Korean heritage with the restaurant's pan-Asian approach. Available until 27 June 2026, the menu includes King Fish Sashimi ($30) dressed with gochujang, pomelo and shiso; Beef Carpaccio ($32) layered with soy-milk dashi jelly and mustard dressing; and Lobster Gyeran Jjim ($72), a luxurious steamed egg custard topped with charcoal-finished French blue lobster. Michelin Bib Gourmand-awarded seaside Italian restaurant Fico is heading into the city with a three-month pasta pop-up at New Bahru’s newly opened Factory Block. Running till 28 July, the kiosk-style concept offers a more pared-back take on Chef Mirko Febbrile’s Puglian-inspired cooking, rooted in the simplicity of cucina povera. Expect handmade pastas such as Linguine ($18) with pesto alla Genovese and prawns, Cavatelli ($16) with San Marzano tomato and ricotta, Tagliatelle ($18) with beef ragù and Parmigiano, and Bucatini alla Gricia ($16) with pecorino, pepper, and guanciale. A small retail corner stocked with pantry staples and artisanal finds completes the experience.

Taking over the former Rosemead, BARREL: Story of Hibiki reframes the Japanese izakaya with whisky as its showstopper supported by comfort eats. Helmed by Chef Sho Naganuma, the space is moody but sexy with timber-lined walls, low lighting, and a central open-fire grill. The menu moves between snackable plates and more substantial grills, all designed to pair with Suntory’s Hibiki expressions. Start with smoked nuts and raisins ($8) before signatures like the BARREL beignet with wagyu bresaola ($14), and uni-corn croquette ($24). From the grill, try the XL fresh prawn with wagyu butter ($30), suckling pig ($22), and wagyu bone-in striploin ($128). For carb lovers, we highly recommend the wagyu yaki udon ($22) and our fave, the Hibiki-inspired chicken rice ($46). New York City’s burger haunt, Black Tap, is turning up the heat at Marina Bay Sands with arrival of its CrazySundae lineup. Manila's ReCraft One-Night-Only Takeover At Bar Somma

As part of Singapore Cocktail Crossover (SGCX), Bar Somma is hosting a one-night-only guest shift with Manila's acclaimed ReCraft on 11 June 2026. Helmed by veteran mixologist Ethan Leslie Leong, the intimate 12-seat bar centres around the Five Elements Philosophy Cocktail ($23), a personalised drink inspired by the ancient Chinese philosophy of water, wood, fire, earth, and metal. Guests begin by providing their birth date, time and location before using an AI-powered tool to generate a personalised elemental profile. Ethan then crafts a bespoke cocktail based on their weakest element, turning a simple nightcap into an exercise in self-discovery. Beyond the signature experience, the menu also includes classics such as the Espresso Martini ($23), indulgent serves like the High Roller Margarita ($88), and bar bites including Charcoal Bruschetta ($15) and Aburi Foie Gras ($38). Burnt Ends Hospitality Group is bringing fresh beer and wood-fired cooking to Resorts World Sentosa with the opening of People People Brewing Co., a 9,000 sq ft social brewery built around community and casual gatherings. Beer is brewed on-site and poured directly from five 1,500-litre tanks, with the line-up spanning crisp lagers, citrusy IPAs, fruited sour beers, and limited-edition experimental releases. The food programme leans into Burnt Ends’ signature fire-led approach, featuring pizzas, rotisserie meats, and smoky share plates designed to pair naturally with the brews.

Amoy Street cocktail bar Stay Gold is back with The Bartender’s Diary Vol. II: The Mixtape, a new menu inspired by music, bartender notebooks, and after-hours experimentation. Divided into chapters titled Anthems, B-Sides, and Remastered, the cocktails range from crowd favourites to more unconventional creations. Highlights include the Michelada, built with beef fat and tomato soup emulsified with egg yolk and lager, and the Spicy Mango Margarita made with mezcal, Alphonso mango purée, and real heat from Scrappy’s Firewater Tincture. Expect approachable cocktails, loud music, and the kind of relaxed confidence the bar has quietly built its reputation on.
