It seems Pharrell Williams is really getting into his design groove. A little over a year since inking his name as Louis Vuitton’s men’s creative director, the multihyphenate is back at the table with his first-ever collection with American jeweller and LVMH stablemate, Tiffany & Co. Not that it’s surprising, considering his longstanding connection with the luxury house.

Titled Tiffany Titan by Pharrell Williams, William’s collection features 19 yellow gold and titanium necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings that marry Tiffany & Co. design codes with William’s flair for individuality: The creations, inspired by Poseidon’s trident, drip with modern urbanity and chic energy with angular spear-like motifs juxtaposed with the soft contours of the accompanying chain links. The designs immediately stand out for their distinctive lines, before drawing you in further with perfectly balanced proportions and a play of lights from gleaming metal and sparkling stones.

Urbane looks are not the only reason why this collection stands out. The titanium used in this collection, for example, has undergone a transformative molecular process that turns it an stark black hue to contrast with the designs’ recycled gold. Then, there are the different diamond settings (which includes fishtail pave setting and reverse-setting) to ensure maximum brilliance.

“I’m very inspired by the water, and the name of this collection “Titan” draws inspiration from Poseidon, ruler of the sea, King of Atlantis –“Atlantis” which is also the name of the community I grew up in Virginia Beach,” Williams explains. “The detail in all of the jewelry pieces is very intentional, the use of black titanium…it’s a physical manifestation of beauty in blackness.”

Tiffany Titan will available in Singapore Tiffany & Co. stores in June.
