More About Ho Tzu Nyen
Known for his eclectic interpretations of Asian culture, Ho is a Singapore-based multi-disciplinary artist who specialises in video animations and physical installations. Largely inspired by Singapore's evolution from former British colony to cosmopolitan city-state, he also incorporates folklore and historical traditions from other parts of Asia into his work. Having represented Singapore at the 54th edition of the Venice Biennale, Ho's international solo exhibitions in Japan, Germany and Spain have also captured the attention of art aficionados worldwide. Most recently, the 48-year-old artist hosted a retrospective exhibition of his own work at the Singapore Art Museum—spanning across two decades of paintings, films, theatrical performances, and video installations.
