If a picture paints a thousand words, Lacoste's latest show at Paris Fashion Week was an indelible visual spectacle that reminded us why it's a coveted lifestyle brand. Titled 'From Tennis to the Seaside', the spring/summer 2025 collection showcased an assortment of sports-inspired garments and versatile staples underlined with an effortless French elegance. After all, the collection pays homage to the effervescent spirit of its founder, René Lacoste, a renowned tennis champion and a lover of beachside living.

Captivated by archival photographs of René on holiday with his friends in the South of France, creative director Pelagia Kolotouros sought to capture this carefree essence through every facet of the show and the collection. In reflecting this optimistic 1920s spirit filled with revelry, camaraderie and a reverence for nature, the show venue was decorated with lush plant decor, with a tennis net sculpture by British artist Susie MacMurray located in the heart of the space.

The show was also attended by a slew of regional stars—notably Singaporean actress Chantelle Ng, Malaysian influencer Christinna Kuan, entrepreneur Jane Chuck, Thai actor Kritsanapoom Pibulsonggram, and Vietnamese singer Anh Tú Atus.
ATHELETIC STAPLES
The collection was rendered in a palette of energetic yellows and greens, balanced by chic neutrals. With an active lifestyle in mind, silhouettes were streamlined and had a lightweight fluidity to them to prioritise ease of movement. Designed for versatility, the garments blended functionality with contemporary style, allowing them to be taken from courtside to the beach to sparkling summer soirees. Sporty yet feminine, the floor-length parkas and dresses feature uniform pleats and naturalistic prints. As for menswear, it was easy, dynamic and playful. Blazers, polo shirts and tracksuits were cut with athletic V-lines while shorts were crafted from a performance fabric.
REIMAGINED CLASSICS
The collection also delved deep into Lacoste's icons, specifically its emblematic crocodile logo. Blown-up prints of the reptile enlivened shirts and rompers, while the brooches added a more lighthearted touch to the polished blazers. Of course, Pelagia also played up the label's tennis heritage—transforming the classic polo into both everyday t-shirts and statement dresses, and adorning them with whimsical tennis ball and racket motifs.
