This season was all about a push-pull between bold experimentation and a return to classic elegance. On one hand, brands such as Gucci and Prada leaned into daring palettes and edgy silhouettes; on the other, there were those who revisited timeless styles with meticulous craftsmanship and tailored cuts. This dynamic tension set a high bar for creativity and style that reflected a renewed sense of optimism and energy. Ahead, we highlight six labels that caught our attention.

Fendi's collection this season was a whimsical fusion of British outdoor wear and Roman decadence, a creative journey that saw Silvia Venturini Fendi revisiting her first menswear collection from 1990. Drawing inspiration from Princess Anne, whom she admires for her chic style, the collection featured generous overcoats, leather wellies, and rumpled cloche hats, perfect for a day out in Balmoral. The palette, reminiscent of a rainy day in the Scottish Highlands, included shades of moss, brown, slate grey, maroon, cornflower blue, and mustard. The collection also played with the boundaries of gender and tradition, with loose trousers transitioning into long pleated Bermuda kilts and low-slung skorts in plaid blanket wool. This playful yet sophisticated approach was highlighted by trompe l’oeil bombers in soft shaved shearling and perfectly cut leather overcoats, seamlessly blending practicality with high fashion.

For his second menswear collection for the label, creative director Sabato De Sarno, presented a 46-look collection featuring acid hues paired with prints of dolphins, surfers, hibiscus flowers, and banana leaves. Key pieces included oversized shirts decorated with paillettes and short shorts that embodied a beach-meets-city aesthetic. This colourful and eclectic approach showcased De Sarno's unique vision for Gucci—wearability and fun over convoluted concepts.

Giorgio Armani’s latest menswear collection was the epitome of sophistication. Think light fabrics, tailored cuts, and a relaxed yet refined vibe. Key pieces included airy, unstructured blazers and fluid trousers in muted tones of beige, grey, and white. But the real showstopper? A series of oh-so-sexy sheer shirts paired with impeccably tailored pants, proving once again why the brand remains at the top of the game for classic menswear.

Called "Italian Beauty", Dolce&Gabbana’s latest menswear collection was a nod to Italian heritage and craftsmanship. It featured sailor-collared shirts, and oversized tops with a decidedly retro vibe—think 1960s and 1970s. Some of our favourites include a raffia jacket woven in two colours and an ivory suit with coral embellishments that jingled with each step. Indeed, when it comes to refined craftsmanship, they've got it down to a chic science.

Picture this: Oversized shirts and jackets, wide-legged trousers and tailored shorts all meticulously designed. But here’s the fun part—the real magic happens when you look at them up close. At Prada, the pieces have intricate details that will make you look twice. For instance, Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons added wires in collars and hems, which turned these garments into shape-shifting marvels, changing form with every step you took or the angle you viewed them from. It was as if the clothes had a life of their own. The collection's minimalist and clean aesthetic screamed Prada, yet each piece had an innovative touch that made you rethink fashion norms. Highlights? Sleek outerwear and accessories that played with proportions and textures, showing once again that Prada knows how to keep things exciting.

For his debut men’s collection, creative director Matteo Tamburini decided to strike a balance between tradition and modernity. Presented at the Padiglione d'Arte Contemporanea, the collection showcased Tod's signature quality and craftsmanship and featured casual tailoring in tan and ecru tones, buttery leather shirts, and relaxed varsity jackets. What do we love? The Gommino driving shoe, which got a fresh update with a new sabot interpretation and a boat model with a T-bar accessory. Tamburini also introduced an exclusive line of outerwear, bags, and footwear for the season that emphasised keeping the human touch and artisanal craftsmanship alive.
