Leave it to Christian Louboutin to turn fantasy into reality during Paris Fashion Week. This season, the footwear designer reunited with renowned film director and photographer David LaChapelle to unveil new iterations of his ballet-inspired Cassia line.

The duo invited guests to Paris’s Dojo Arena, which was reimagined as an American football stadium. What unfolded was a sensory evening of celebration, brought to life by whimsically creative performances choreographed by Blanca Li.

Batton twirlers, cheerleaders and even a seahorse mascot (seahorses are Louboutin’s favorite animal) set the scene, before rival football teams played off against each other in seamless dance performance. The festivities were set to live music played by the Paris Fire Brigade marching band, who performed renditions of pop hits like Brtiney Spears' "Toxic" and The White Stripes' "Seven Nation Army".

Afterwards, French singer Milo Thoretton, also known as Asphalt, played the high-school heart throb, performing three songs in French, a move that fused the American-themed evening with a distinctly French sensibility.

For the grand finale, dancers performed on the tiers of a giant cherry-topped cake wearing Louboutin's Ballerina Ultima heels, which he designed in 2007 after being inspired by a ballerina's en pointe position.

Louboutin first teamed up with LaChapelle and Li last September, with the trio enlisting the French Olympic artistic swimming team to perform a contemporary take on a 1950s-style Hollywood water ballet.

"Something the three of us clearly have in common is our love for dance," Louboutin explained at the time. "Blanca made it her world, David some of his major art works, and me, I also started by designing shoes for dancers."
