In the increasingly crowded world of aesthetic medicine, few names travel as effortlessly across borders as Dr Dissapong “Joe” Panithaporn. Based in Thailand, the board-certified dermatologist is the founder of The Demis Clinic and has built a reputation for delivering refined, natural-looking results through advanced non-surgical techniques.

Dr Joe’s journey into dermatology is deeply personal. Once a severe acne sufferer himself, it was a transformative experience with a dermatology professor that changed not just his skin, but his confidence—an experience that would ultimately shape his calling. Today, that same empathy underpins his practice, where the goal extends beyond surface-level beauty to restoring self-assurance.

At The Demis Clinic, Dr Joe specialises in non-surgical lifting, laser treatments, biostimulation, and advanced filler techniques, with a focus on precision, restraint, and long-term skin health. His philosophy is clear: Results should look effortless, never overdone.

Over the years, Dr Joe has quietly become the dermatologist of choice for an enviable roster of celebrities, including Kim Kardashian, Jackson Wang, Faye Peraya, and Rebecca Armstrong. His rise as an aesthetic doctor to the stars was never part of a master plan; instead, it unfolded organically through word-of-mouth and trust. One satisfied client led to another, and his discreet, results-driven approach did the rest.

For celebrity clients constantly navigating tight schedules and unforgiving cameras, Dr Joe delivers subtle, camera-ready enhancements that translate seamlessly from real life to screen. Privacy, consistency, and honesty remain central to his work, regardless of who sits in his consultation chair.

Ahead, we chat with Dr Joe on his dermatology practice and philosophies as well as celebrity clientele and beauty trends.

How did you get started in dermatology and aesthetics, and what types of services do you currently provide?

I started this path because I once struggled with severe acne myself. A dermatology professor helped me heal—not only my skin, but also my confidence. That experience stayed with me and inspired me to become the kind of doctor who can give that feeling back to others. Even today, every time I see a patient feel happier or more confident, it reminds me why I chose this field.

At The Demis Clinic, I focus on non-surgical lifting, laser treatments, biostimulation, and advanced filler techniques—all with one purpose: Helping people feel good in their own skin.

Tell us about your philosophy when it comes to aesthetics. What is your idea of a successful treatment journey?

My philosophy is simple: Less but better. I believe in choosing the right treatment, not the most popular treatment. A successful journey is when the patient feels understood and sees results that look natural, effortless, and true to themselves.

You’ve grown a significant celebrity clientele over the years—how did you become an aesthetic doctor to the stars?

It wasn’t intentional. One celebrity came in, shared their experience, and the circle grew naturally. What kept them coming, I believe, is consistency, privacy, and a results-driven yet natural approach. Everyone—celebrity or not—deserves the same honesty and care.

How do the concerns and priorities of celebrity clients differ from regular clients?

Celebrities often have tight schedules, constant cameras, and very little downtime. They want subtle, camera-ready results that look good both in real life and on screen. But the core desire is the same for everyone: To look like the best version of themselves.

You work with local, regional, and international clients. Have you noticed differences in their aesthetic preferences?

Yes. Thai clients prefer natural lifting and refined contours. Regional Asian clients look for soft volume and glow, while Western clients often prefer more defined structures. But overall, the global trend toward subtle, balanced enhancement is becoming universal.

Skin quality, lifting, and natural contouring remain the top concerns. Popular treatments include Ulthera Prime, bioregeneration fillers, advanced laser protocols, and combination therapies that maximise results with minimal downtime.

There’s a global shift toward subtle, non-invasive procedures. Do you find this true?

Absolutely. Patients today value safety, low downtime, and authenticity. With modern energy-based devices and regenerative techniques, we can achieve powerful yet natural results without surgery.

Skin longevity, bioregeneration, and personalised treatment plans will become the standard. We’ll see more device–injectable synergy and a move toward smart, long-term approaches instead of overcorrection.

You’ve said skincare and treatments go hand-in-hand. What is your most important skincare tip?

Consistency matters most. Even the best treatment needs a good daily routine. That’s why I created ACCA—simple, gentle products for acne-prone and sensitive skin that I also use in my own clinic. I’m grateful for the positive response in Thailand and abroad, and ACCA will soon be available in Canada as well. A steady routine always makes results last longer.
