Regina Song has quickly become one of Singapore’s most exciting young musical exports. The singer-songwriter first captured listeners with her deeply personal lyrics and bedroom-pop sensibilities, turning stories of crushes, heartbreak, and self-discovery into songs that resonate far beyond her own experiences. Since the release of her debut album fangirl, she has amassed tens of millions of streams, landed on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list, and built a devoted fanbase across Southeast Asia.
Now, as she unveils everland, a coming-of-age record exploring romance, desire, insecurity, and the growing pains of young adulthood, the 22-year-old is entering a new era. One that feels a little darker, a little wiser, but still rooted in the same sincerity that made audiences fall in love with her music in the first place.

ON MUSIC

“I started writing music when I was 13, jotting down melodies that would pop into my head on the walk home from school. A friend later introduced me to a producer. Hearing people connect with my first track made me realise this was something I wanted to pursue seriously. What drives me now is still the same thing: My love for music and my listeners. One of the most surreal moments has been becoming one of Singapore’s top local artistes and being mentioned alongside people I’ve always looked up to, like JJ Lin and Stefanie Sun. If you’d told my 15-year-old self that, I would have laughed. Being independent has been rewarding but stressful, especially while preparing for my album release, so I’m looking forward to getting back into a more creative headspace. I’d also love to explore acting, whether in a musical or a Netflix series.”

ON FASHION

“One brand I’m particularly obsessed with is Vivienne Westwood. There’s an edgy yet feminine quality to the designs that I absolutely adore. For me, fashion and music are closely connected. Every era of my music tends to have its own colour palette, and I often find myself collecting clothes and accessories that reflect the world I’m building through my songs. Right now, that colour happens to be baby blue.”
