Between the ferries criss-crossing Victoria Harbour, trams rattling past busy streets, and crowds weaving through skyscrapers and hidden alleyways, Hong Kong is a city constantly in motion. As we enter the Arts Pavilion in the West Kowloon Cultural District—a vibrant hub for arts and design—the Loro Piana fall/winter 2026 press presentation unfolds in a world of paisley.

Wrapped in rich shades of mauve and chestnut, the scene is set for Nomadic Reverie, its collection inspired by voyages and the ever-changing landscapes encountered in between. As one of the House’s most enduring motifs, paisley appears everywhere— from the walls to the garments themselves— tying the collection together. A series of poems exploring themes of memory and discovery line the entrance walls, mimicking pages torn out of a travel journal.

Divided into four chapters—Il Movimento (movement), La Memoria (memory), Il Tempo (time) and Il Gesto (gesture)—the collection unfolds like a journey viewed through the windows of a passing train. Warm ochres and terracottas gradually deepen into forest greens and midnight blues, while luxurious fibres such as Baby Cashmere and The Gift of Kings wool bring an exquisite softness to every look.

One standout look features a three-quarter sleeved shirt and wide pants in a Rose Chiné print, creating a blurred, almost impressionistic effect reminiscent of landscapes glimpsed in motion. Elsewhere, the iconic paisley print takes centre stage on everything from flowing dresses to voluminous skirts and trousers. Rather than feeling overly decorative, the motif lends the collection a sense of sophistication and continuity. Even eveningwear leans into a sense of artistry, with a richly embroidered black kimono ensemble and fluid smock dress lending an elegant touch to the collection.

As always, the importance of accessories within the Loro Piana universe is spotlighted. Sculptural hats and soft headpieces complete the silhouettes rather than merely accessorising them. New iterations of the Extra Softy Bag and Extra Softy Case echo the same attention to detail, appearing in paisley fabrics and buttery leathers; some adorned with intricate embroidery. New offerings, including the Needle Shopper, a structured tote crafted in supple leather, reinforce the House’s commitment to functionality. The result is a wardrobe where garments and accessories are inseparable, each mirroring the other’s colours and textures.

More than a collection about travel, Nomadic Reverie is a meditation on everything encountered along the way. From impossibly soft fabrics and intricate craftsmanship to thoughtfully designed accessories, it is a wardrobe designed not for a single destination, but for the journey itself.
