Come 8 March, we celebrate International Women’s Day once more, commemorating the ongoing fight and progress for women’s rights and recognition. We may have come a long way in the last few decades, but the journey to true equality and equity continues, especially for the most vulnerable in our communities.
This International Women’s Day, extend a loving hand to the women who are still fighting for their place, whether in the home, workplace or society at large. Singapore is home to many charities and NGOs, each championing women in their own right, from nurturing the young women of tomorrow, to providing refuge those experiencing domestic violence.

In Singapore, AWARE has long been steadfast in supporting and championing women’s rights, whether in the workplace or at the doctor’s office. Now more than ever, we must find ways to ensure that young girls grow into confident women unburdened by gender bias, and are given every opportunity to reach their full potential without prejudice."
