There are few fashion collaborations as ornate and culturally rich as this recent capsule by Tod's and established Indian couturier Rahul Mishra. Colourful and abundantly embellished, the newly released creations are refreshingly different from the Italian brand's timeless designs and understated luxury.

Yet, it's exactly this bold experimental spirit that has led to the diversification of Tod's design codes. Having established its collaborative initiative, Tod's Factory, since 2018, the Italian leather goods house has since worked with emerging and established designers globally, inviting them to inject fresh perspectives into its classic pieces. This time, the collection offered up a contemporary blend of Italian savoir-faire and designs that reference India's rich sartorial tapestry. One can look forward to the vibrant reinterpretation of Tod’s most iconic creations—specifically the Gommino loafers, the Di Bag and an array of T Timeless accessories.

“We developed a limited-edition of Tod’s iconics, including the Tod’s Gommino and Di Bag, drawing inspiration from nature, my constant muse, crafting classic in-house motifs and the distinctive foliage, synonymous with my designs. To me, this partnership expresses artisanal mastery, Italian elegance as well as our intricate Indian craftsmanship,” shares Rahul.
T TIMELESS STYLES
Distinguished by its gold-toned T motif, the T Timeless styles are made even more prominent in this collection. Hand embroidered by Kaarigar artisans, featuring expertly woven silk threads, these intricate floral motifs boldly redefined the crossbody mini bag and mules. Meanwhile, the classic Gommino leather driving shoes reveal a bejewelled facade of crystals and sequins, as well as Rahul's renowned Tree of Life motif.
THE DI BAG
Crafted with metallic calfskin leather, the Di Bag comes refreshed in two different designs this time. The first features striking floral and tiger embroideries dressed in vivid colours and adorned with crystals and beads. The latter—though not as vibrant with its monochromatic palette—is embellished with two exquisite 18- karat gold-plated Ara macaws perched atop the branches of the Tree of Life motif.
