Imagine stepping onto Hong Kong’s vibrant streets with ELLE Singapore's April 2024 cover star Yoyo Cao, the stylish globetrotter and fashion maven who's always a step ahead. We got to do exactly that this November when we headed to Hong Kong for the restaging of Chanel's cruise 2024-25 show at the Hong Kong Design Institute.

Draped head-to-toe in Chanel’s Cruise 2024-25 collection, Yoyo was more than ready to immerse herself once again in the city's vibrant energy and enjoy its unmistakable charm and culinary delights. She knows the city well and regards it as her second home. As she anticipated the restaging of Chanel’s show, she couldn't help but muse on the parallels between Hong Kong and Marseille, where the collection first debuted in May: “It’s a vibrant port city with its own unique culture—I see a lot of similarities between the two,” she enthuses. "I'm very excited for it to have come to Hong Kong."

But it’s not just fashion that keeps her coming back to Hong Kong. Yoyo’s heart is also set on the local food scene—particularly the cha chaan teng (those quintessential Hong Kong diners) and pastries that fuel her affection for the city. And, of course, she’s got her eye on some must-have pieces from Chanel's collection: The metallic green Chanel 22 bag that makes for an easy statement piece, a chic green tweed jacket with a hood for that touch of sport-chic, and a denim jumper that’s all about laid-back luxury and perfect for coastal city living.
