Is Spring 2026 officially the era of the pastel pink renaissance? Leading the charge is pop’s reigning style icon, Olivia Rodrigo, whose recent fashion pivot has fans theorising that her next musical era is painted in blush.

Rodrigo’s transformation began with her 23rd birthday bash ensemble, an archival Blumarine mini dress from its spring/summer 2004 collection. Clad in pink-and-silver embroidery and a heart-adorned stone tiara, she radiated a hyper-femme "Princess" energy that felt like a deliberate departure from her previous grunge rock image.

The momentum continued recently at Paris Fashion Week where she sat front row at Chloé’s fall/winter 2026 runway show. Dressed in a flowing, tiered-lace gown from the house’s pre-fall 2026 collection, her look highlighted pastel pink's bohemian and sophisticated touch. The latest confirmation of her new signature look appeared at this week's Vanity Fair Oscars After-Party in Los Angeles, where she stunned in a custom Saint Laurent feathered mini accentuated with an oversized bow. The blend of a sleek blush bodice and pink feathers cemented the shade as the season’s staple and a tease of the popstar princess's purple-to-pink era shift.

From the red carpet to makeup bags, the shade continues to dominate our screens. Rhode’s spring 2026 campaign features actress and upcoming “it” girl Sarah Pidgeon, who is currently starring as 90’s style icon Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy in Ryan Murphy’s Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette. The American skincare line's casting of Pidgeon feels particularly relevant as the new campaign leans into a soft and minimalistic palette. Fronting the spring beauty collection in full pink feels like a subtle nod to retro Barbie glamour, showing how the pastel shade can be captivating without demanding attention.

To achieve this glow, the collection spotlights the Peptide Lip Tint in Sweet Pea, a pearly warm pink that offers a glossy wash of gold pearl. Paired with the Pocket Blush in Teacup, the delicate raspberry pink delivers a fresh and wearable tone, emphasising the arrival of spring. For those who indulge in a complete seasonal set, Rhode has also launched matching Snap-On Lip Cases in the same Lip Tint pastel hues in Sweet Pea and Pretzel, elevating the iPhone to becoming an essential spring accessory.

The seasonal shade officially hit the streets with the Puma's latest release of its Speedcat Ballet Venus. This hybrid silhouette takes the motorsport icon’s comfortable slip-on sneaker and refines the sneakerina with matte satin uppers. Available in 'Jasmine Flower Warm White' akin to pastel pink, it combines the signature athletic edge with feminine elegance reminiscent of spring. While initially a US exclusive, the collection is now available in Singapore via ASOS and streetwear retailer Kicks Crew, making it a must-have finish for this season's look.
