Fashion’s biggest night returned in full force, and this year’s Met Gala delivered the kind of spectacle the world has come to expect. Held in celebration of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s spring Costume Institute exhibition, "Costume Art", the 2026 theme, "Fashion is Art", inspired a striking range of interpretations spanning references to classical paintings and sculpture to contemporary expressions drawn from film and modern art.
The guest list was no less remarkable, bringing together the most stylish names in music, film, sports and, of course, fashion. This year's event marked co-chair Beyoncé's first Met Gala appearance in a decade, and the singer opted for a rhinestone-embellished skeletal gown designed by Olivier Rousteing. With K-pop star Jisoo making her long-awaited Met Gala debut in Dior, it was also the first Met Gala with all four members of BLACKPINK in attendance.
