Fresh off its collaboration with F1: The Movie earlier this year, Tommy Hilfiger’s latest “The Hilfiger Racing Club” campaign for fall/winter 2025 is doubling down on the brand’s love affair with motorsports. Here, the racing circuit is the site of stylish, nostalgic luxury rather than adrenaline-fueled thrills, bringing a touch of classic prep to the racecourse. In this ELLE Singapore exclusive, Tommy Hilfiger and Global Brand Ambassador Jisoo of BLACKPINK unpack the timeless new campaign.

While the motorsport aesthetic has been enjoying a resurgence as of late, Tommy Hilfiger’s vision of it leans more retro Americana than Y2K streetwear, calling back to the brand’s beloved preppy knits and warm plaids across a series of sepia-washed photos. “A day at the racing circuit felt so classic and cool. I’ve always had a fondness for vintage car designs—the details tell such a story,” said Jisoo. “What I loved about this campaign is how Tommy reimagined a classic racing event with joy and sophistication. It still feels elegant, but not too serious.” 

For Hilfiger, the campaign is yet another bold and confident way the brand is stepping into unexpected spaces. “It’s always been about showing up unapologetically. That spirit is still at the heart of what we do: creating a version of prep that’s open, inclusive and yours to define,” said Hilfiger. “We’ve also partnered with pop culture icons to drive the cultural conversation, and Jisoo is a great example of that. She doesn’t follow trends, she defines them. Her influence is modern, magnetic, and completely her own.”

“I think expressing and accomplishing something in one’s own unique way has always been what sets Tommy apart,” added the K-pop idol. “There’s a power to this idea of gatecrashing tradition—not in a loud way, but in showing up with purpose and interacting authentically. I loved how we could play with the classic codes of prep and make them feel personal, effortless and new again.”

The campaign is just the latest collaboration between Jisoo and Tommy Hilfiger since she was officially appointed Global Brand Ambassador in November 2024. “My journey with Tommy Hilfiger has felt really natural as we’ve grown together over time. I was so excited to join the family in my first campaign, and each new chapter has felt like an evolution,” she said. In the months since her appointment, the singer-actress has fronted its fall/winter 2024, New Year 2025 and spring/summer 2025 campaigns in addition to repping custom Tommy looks as she performs across the globe, bringing a fresh, updated and personal perspective to the brand’s classic codes.

The new campaign is no different, with Jisoo bringing her playful pop-star edge to Tommy Hilfiger’s casual prep across each look. “My favourite look is the striped top with the pleated skirt and camel jacket,” she shared “It’s classic and playful at the same time—soft, structured, sophisticated. I love how it reimagines prep in such a fresh, modern way; I felt so comfortable in it straight away.”
