1. Lisa has 7 Guinness World Records

Oh, you know, just seven things you do better in the world than literally anyone else. This includes making the most-viewed music video on YouTube by a solo artist, and solo K-pop artist. She is also the first solo K-pop artist to receive an MTV Video Music Award at the US and European awards. She’s also the most followed K-Pop artist on Instagram (with 104 million followers) and the first K-pop solo artist to get one billion album streams on Spotify.

2. Lisa owns her own record label

After branching out with her solo career, Lisa also started her own label called LLOUD.

3. Louis Vuitton named her a house ambassador in 2024

The Blackpink artists are undeniable fashion and beauty icons, with each star nabbing their own string of ambassadorships and deals. Most recently, Lisa was named a house ambassador for Louis Vuitton. “I feel so honoured to be working with such a great brand that I admire,” she said of the announcement. No stranger to high fashion, Lisa was previously a muse for Celine, another LVMH brand.

4. Lisa’s real name is Lalisa

While most BLINKs will know this thanks to Lisa’s lucrative solo career, which she performed under her name Lalisa, those new to the fandom can prepare to see the name Lalisa Manobal on her acting CV.

5. Lisa is the only non-ethnically Korean star in Blackpink

Despite being in a K-pop group, Lisa is not ethnically Korean. (This compares fellow bandmate Rose, who hails from Australia but has a Korean background.) Lisa auditioned for the South Korean agency YG when she was 14 years old, and was the only person out of 4,000 (!!) people to be accepted to the group’s prestigious training program.

Lisa has said she’s excited for viewers of The White Lotus to see how her home country. “I feel like people are going to fall in love with Thailand even more,” she enthused to ELLE.
