If there’s one thing that feeds a creative spirit, it’s childlike wonder. Even as we grow hardened by the world around us, the joy of creating, and the pursuit of that joy, is one that’s innate in every human being. And with the debut of Coach’s winter 2025 collection, it is this exact feeling that creative director Stuart Vevers brings to life.
For this collection, Vevers draws inspiration from his own adventures with fashion and creativity. Whether it’s the way his mother dressed him for the theatre as a child, or the props that whisk him and his children away into fantasy worlds during their playtime—the joy in each of these moments are present in each look.

“Before I understood what fashion was, I found joy in the idea of dressing up. It started with my mom dressing my brother and me in matching themed outfits to watch the amateur theater shows put on by my grandmother,” he said, also sharing his experience of conjuring club outfits out of scraps with his grandmother in his teens.
“Today, my children and I play with wands, crowns, swords and capes that open our world to endless self-expression and immediate optimism. I wanted to share the sense of possibility that fashion allows us to feel, manifest, and enact.”

In that vein, the new collection heavily features fabrics that invoke images of fairytale universes. Take the chiffon and taffeta tulle dresses, reminiscent of a princess in her prime, or the twinkling capes, crowns and wands that complete each ensemble in the collection’s lookbook—each of these pieces bring with them a touch of magic.
For a modern touch, Coach also looks to the fearless self-expression and style choices of today’s youth, from slouchy oversized cardigans and sweaters to genderless maxi skirts and loose-fitting denim trousers. These are elevated by more tailored pieces that hark back to the brand’s American heritage—with suedes and denims that conjure up images of Americana.

This collection also sees the arrival of three new versions of archival bags by Coach’s first lead designer and American fashion pioneer Bonnie Cashin. Updated in adventurous red, white and metallic finishes, each bag is re-introduced with a host of new friends in the form of trendy plush animal charms, nodding once more to the ways the youth of today embellish their wardrobe staples with a sense of personality.
A fascination with the celestial also takes form in shoes and accessories, with stars, suns, moons and angels finding their way into its jewelry offerings. The magic of this collection doesn’t stop there—the iconic Coach bow pump returns adorned with sparkling crystals, as do Fall’s funky eyewear pieces. Meanwhile, the Soho sneaker conquers new textures in suede, leather and animal prints, each embellished with star leather appliques.
