It’s not every year that one turns 80. So is it any surprise that ELLE pulled out all the stops to celebrate its fabulous milestone with a fête to remember? On the opening day of Milan Fashion Week, editors from ELLE’s 50 global editions descended upon the magnificent Palazzo Clerici located at the heart of Milan.
Famed for its lavish, gilded neo-classical interiors, the magnificent 18th-century palace played host to over 600 distinguished guests (designers, celebrities and industry insiders included) as they mingled beneath the lauded frescoes of Venetian painter, Giambattista Tiepolo. Guests were also guided through a visual journey that brought to life the masthead’s illustrious eight-decade long history and heritage, through displays such as video installations, global covers, and historical photography. Italian songwriter, record producer and pianist Dardust laid the soundtrack for the evening with his performance.
Beloved for its unique and empowered perspective on fashion, beauty, society, lifestyle, and culture, ELLE is trusted for its dedication to women and the issues that affect them. The celebrations on that fateful February night stood as a reminder that ELLE remains unwavering in its cause—now and decades into the future.
