Netflix's hit 2025 animated film K-pop Demon Hunters has won a Grammy, making history as the first K-pop song to land a win at the prestigious award ceremony. At the 68th Grammy Awards held on February 1, the song "Golden" from the film took home the award for Best Song Written For Visual Media.

The song is performed by singer-songwriter EJAE and fellow Korean-American singers Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami, who provided vocals for the fictional girl group HUNTR/X in the film.

The award was received by producers from K-pop label THEBLACKLABEL, including 24 and the producer trio IDO—formed by Yu Han Lee, Hee Dong Nam and Joong Gyu Kwak—alongside EJAE and composer Mark Sonnenblick, who also worked on the track. The team from THEBLACKLABEL notably produced several other tracks on the K-pop Demon Hunters soundtrack like "How It's Done" and "Soda Pop".

THEBLACKLABEL's production team was led by the label's Chief Creative Officer Teddy Park, who is best known as the producer behind hits by groups like BIG BANG, 2NE1 and BLACKPINK. While he did not attend the ceremony, producer 24 dedicated the win to him during his acceptance speech, calling Park his "greatest mentor and closest friend."

"The Grammy Awards are essentially the greatest goal a composer can dream of, and it feels as though I have achieved that dream. Beyond simply the success of K-Pop, it is an honour and deeply meaningful to have been able to contribute music to a work that introduces K-culture to the world,” said IDO's Joong.

"Golden" was also nominated for Song of The Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 2026 Grammy Awards, but lost to Billie Eilish's "Wildflower", and Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande's "Defying Gravity" respectively. A remix of the song by French DJ David Guetta was also nominated for Best Remixed Recording, which Lady Gaga and Gesaffelstein ultimately took home for "Abracadabra".

In January 2026, "Golden" won Best Original Song - Motion Picture at the Golden Globe Awards and Best Song at the Critic's Choice Awards. A month after its release in June 2025, K-pop Demon Hunters became Netflix's most-watched original animated film of all time and in December 2025, became the streamer's most-watched title of all time.
