Matthieu Blazy is exiting Bottega Veneta after three successful years as creative director of the Italian leather goods brand. He will be replaced by Louise Trotter, the former creative director of Carven, at the end of January. The news comes just moments after the Parisian fashion house announced her departure, where she will present her final show in January.
Under Blazy's leadership, the brand was a star in Kering’s portfolio. He reaffirmed the brand's legacy of luxury leather goods and made it a cultural touchpoint, collaborating with artists and celebrities (including A$AP Rocky and Jacob Elordi) to strike the balance of cool meets crafted.

Prior to taking over at Carven, Trotter was formerly the creative director of French label Lacoste and British brand Joseph, where she steered both houses in more fashion-forward directions. During her tenure at Carven, she cultivated a wardrobe that blended both the feminine and masculine centred around precise tailoring with unexpected flourishes.
