Retracing the origins of his storied career, Nicolas Ghesquière invites friends and collaborators to Shaping Fashion, a series that will engage in conversations that span from film to music to fashion, abound with personal anecdotes. Through videos that will be released monthly, the series delves into the designer’s experience as artistic director of Louis Vuitton’s women’s collections, his earlier career, and topics ranging from fashion to music and film.

The debut episode marks Ghesquière’s first decade at the helm of the French brand’s women’s collections. It opens with Emma Stone asking whether the designer is ever satisfied with his fashion creations. From there on they would engage in a conversation that confesses their inner thoughts of past works, whether in acting or design. Stone then answers the question herself, confessing that she always reflects on her work and tells herself, “I would do it differently and I would do better.” To which Ghesquière responds that he always wants to do better, “I’m light, but I’m very intense, too.”

With the first two episodes filmed with House Ambassadors Emma Stone and Jennifer Connelly, the series will expand upon Ghesquière’s decade (and counting) at Louis Vuitton and the influential moments and figures that have marked his creative journey.
