“These have been truly exciting years, a journey I have walked also in the name of my grandmother Adele, my mother Anna, and her sisters,” said Venturini Fendi. She began her creative tenure with the House in 1992 under the wing of the late Karl Lagerfeld and helmed its menswear and accessories collections from 1994, later taking on its women’s collection in Fendi’s centennial year.

Venturini Fendi expressed her gratitude for Lagerfeld’s tutelage, adding: “My heart turns to Karl, an extraordinary master who granted me the honour of working by his side, teaching me the art of sharing, a defining quality in my family’s history of women, while guiding me to nurture and protect my own creative vision so that I could then fly on my own.”

“What a wonderful journey it has been, not only creatively but also from a human perspective: first through my bond with Karl Lagerfeld, then with Kim Jones and last but not least with my fantastic team, which over the years has become a part of my family”, she said.

In her new role, Venturini Fendi will continue to support and champion the House’s rich heritage and craftsmanship worldwide.

With Venturini Fendi’s departure from her long-held post as creative director, the fashion industry is now abuzz with speculations surrounding her successor. While Fendi has yet to publicly name its next creative director, Maria Grazia Chiuri is one name that has come up repeatedly. The Italian fashion designer began her career at Fendi in 1989, before moving to Valentino. She later succeeded Raf Simons as the artistic director of Dior in 2016, before passing the baton to Jonathan Anderson in May 2025.
