Koh Samui

What better place to experience The White Lotus life than Koh Samui? The Southern Thai island is home to some of the region’s most luxurious resorts and beaches, including the Four Seasons where the series was filmed, with a laidback atmosphere that’s perfect for de-stressing. Stay in to lounge by the beach with a cocktail in hand and pamper mum with traditional Thai spa experiences at its lush Secret Garden spa, or venture out with the resort's chartered boat experiences to get up close with marine life at the neighbouring Koh Tai. The main strip of Chaweng Beach is the island's most developed area, with plenty of accommodation, restaurant and spa options, along with quick access to Central Samui and night markets for shopping. For a more lowkey experience, head further south to Lamai beach for scenic natural views and pay a visit to the famous Hin Ta Hin Yai rock formations, which are situated at its southern end.
Malacca

For the mums who love their food, there’s no better destination than Malacca. The famed Jonker Street Night Market is always a safe bet for a diverse spread of delicious local fare, though wandering off into the surrounding alleys will open up a whole other world of restaurants, cafes and bars. The city is also filled with cultural treasures, from the picturesque Red Square and Flor de la Mar Maritime Museum to its stunning mosques and temples.
The Peranakan cuisine in Malacca is considered some of the best, with dishes like Nyonya laksa being must-trys while in town. Many popular Peranakan restaurants are situated just across the river from the Dutch square, near the Baba & Nyonya Heritage Museum, a world UNESCO site also worth visiting. The city is also known for Chicken rice balls, and popular restaurants like Chung Wah and Hoe Kee Chicken Rice can be found in the area close to Jonker Street.
