Dior has officially named Jonathan Anderson creative director of its women's, men's and haute couture collections, a first in the history of the fashion house. Initially appointed as the creative director for Dior Men this April, Anderson's role will now extend to Dior's women's and haute couture collections, after former creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri bid the house farewell last week.

In an official statement, LVMH Chairman and CEO Bernard Arnault emphasised Anderson's "incomparable artistic signature" which he believes will be "a crucial asset in writing the next chapter of the history of the House of Dior,” calling the designer one of the greatest creative talents of his generation.

Delphine Arnault, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Christian Dior Couture, added that she has "followed his career with great interest" since Anderson joined the LVMH group over a decade ago. "I am convinced that he will bring a creative and modern vision to our House, inspired by the fabulous story of Monsieur Dior and the codes he created. He will be supported by our teams and our incredible Ateliers who will bring his creativity to life," she said.

Prior to joining Dior, the designer held an 11-year tenure at Loewe before exiting the brand in March, after its presentation during Paris Fashion Week. In April 2025, Dior officially appointed him creative director of Dior Men.

Anderson, who will present his first collection, Dior Men Summer 2026, in Paris on June 27, 2025. commented:

“It is a great honour to join the House of Dior as Creative Director of both women’s and men’s collections. I have always been inspired by the rich history of this House, its depth, and empathy. I look forward to working alongside its legendary Ateliers to craft the next chapter of this incredible story. I would like to express my sincere thanks to Delphine Arnault and Bernard Arnault for their trust and loyalty over the years."

The announcement comes just days after Dior confirmed the departure of Maria Grazia Chiuri after nine years as its creative director. Notably, she was the house's first female creative director to lead its women's collections. Her final collection was Dior's Cruise 2026 collection, which the house presented in Rome this April.
