Fresh off the high from his buzzy debut at Maison Valentino, newly appointed creative director Alessandro Michele has dipped his toes in yet another exciting venture. This time, Maison Valentino teams up with concept store Dover Street Market for an exciting multi-city pop-up which includes metropolitan locations like London, Ginza, New York, Singapore, and Los Angeles.
This collaboration will showcase emblematic pieces from Michele's debut collection, the Avant Les Débuts Spring 2025 line. To celebrate the inauguration of the pop-up, a cocktail party was held at Dover Street Market's London boutique on 14 November 2024. Hosted by Michele, Maison Valentino CEO Jacopo Venturini and Dover Street Market CEO Adrian Joffe, the event was attended by a slew of fashion trailblazers—including Edward Enninful and Daphne Guinness.

Beyond the pop-ups and artistic installations, this close-knit collaboration will eventually encompass permanent spaces in these Dover Street Market boutiques—which has already commenced with London, followed by Beijing in January 2025 and Ginza and New York in February 2025.

Titled Avant Les Débuts, the 171-look collection encapsulated bohemian glamour through and through. Inspired by the tasteful extravagance of the '60s and the '70s, Michele churned out looks that combined his signature maximalism with Maison Valentino's effortless refinement. Statement-making pieces include dramatically ruffled dresses adorned with intricate embroidery, faux fur coats and retro suits, as well as luscious pearls and turbans that make for spellbinding accessories.
