Every Formula 1 Grand Prix is its own theatre. The circuit becomes the stage where speed, glamour, and precision collide. Fans flood the stands in a sea of colour, cars slice through the air as if defying physics, and rivalries are decided in fractions of a second.
But at the Italian Grand Prix in Monza, the most poignant moment was not defined by speed or victory. Instead, it came in the form of a quiet, poetic, and utterly novel tribute: A short film made in collaboration with Chivas Regal, the Scotch Whisky house.
The subject? Not the star drivers, but the pit crew. In under two seconds, they can transform a race—swapping all four tyres, tweaking aerodynamics, and sending the car back onto the track with a precision so sharp, it borders on instinct. These men and women rarely appear in headlines, yet their work has the power to crown champions.

A Film With A Novel Lens

Titled A Tribute to the Scuderia Ferrari HP Pit Crew, the short film was written by British spoken-word artist George the Poet and narrated by Formula 1’s most magnetic voices: Lewis Hamilton, a seven-time World Champion and global icon, as well as Charles Leclerc, Ferrari’s young star.
It turned the spotlight onto a world usually glimpsed only in snatches: The choreography of a pit stop, the sound of torque wrenches and the disciplined synchronicity of movement, beautified as a ballet of human and mechanical harmony.
“You make it look natural… that unnatural level of precision. Moving in sync, you play the cards you’re driven and find harmony in this regal symphony,” writes George the Poet, his words carrying the reverence usually reserved for champions.

Raising A Glass To What Is Unseen

Team principals are often strategists. For Vasseur, it was an act of leadership unusual in a sport dominated by celebrity drivers. Yet here he stood alongside a whisky house to honour his crew—men and women whose names rarely leave the garage. For Chivas Regal, the gesture was a natural extension of its philosophy, I Rise We Rise, and the belief that greatness is never a solo pursuit but a shared ascent.
The pairing of Chivas and Scuderia Ferrari HP might seem worlds apart at first glance. After all, one is rooted in the patient craft of Scotland, and the other is forged in the crucible of high-octane engineering. But put a shared philosophy between them and the partnership makes sense: They are both devoted to detail, a culture of excellence, and an uncompromising pursuit of precision.
"True greatness is driven by the hands of many. This campaign embodies our "I Rise We Rise" ethos and focuses on the people who build together and set the team up for greatness behind the scenes,” says Nick Blacknell, Global Marketing Director, Chivas Regal. "The Scuderia Ferrari HP team shares our tenacious mindset and belief that success is built on teamwork—and that’s what makes our partnership so powerful.”
It was more than a ceremonial nod. In Monza—a circuit dubbed the temple of speed—the partnership made visible what every insider knows: That the milliseconds gained in a pit stop can decide championships.
Debuting the film amidst the scarlet banners, and the roar of Italian fans, was a masterstroke. It placed Ferrari’s pit crew at the centre of the story, granting their precision the recognition it deserves. In doing so, it has redefined what it means to celebrate excellence: Not just in the moments of glory, but in the hidden rituals that make them possible.
“I’m always drawn to the voices we don’t usually hear,” George the Poet said of the project. “Whether it’s a poem or a pit stop, craftsmanship takes tenacity. That’s exactly what Chivas Regal captured in this tribute.”
As the scarlet cars thundered through Monza, that truth felt sharper than ever.
