Almost a decade after the ordeal, Kim Kardashian is finally telling the world her side of the story in the criminal trial of the burglary she experienced during Paris Fashion Week in 2016.

Taking to the stand in Paris today, the Skims co-founder shared that she thought she was going to be raped and murdered when she was tied up and gagged by a group of burglars, as they stole approximately £8 million worth of Kardashian's jewellery, including her engagement ring from her ex-husband Kanye West.

Kardashian cried as she told the court today that the ordeal "changed everything" for her and that she 'said a prayer to prepare myself' as she maintained that she was going to be raped by the men.

"The robe opens up and everything is exposed on my bottom half," the mother-of-four testified. "I was on the bed and the other one had the gun up to me and at that point I was certain that was when they were going to shoot me, and it was over."

Explaining the ordeal to the court, Kardashian said that two men, who she believed were police officers barged into her room, just as she was about to fall asleep.

"We were leaving the next morning and I was just packing up, at 3am I was just getting ready to go to bed," Kardashian said. The hotel's receptionist, Abderrahmane Ouatiki, had been handcuffed and was with the two men. He told Kardashian he did not know what was happening, according to the BBC.

"I understand now how shocked he was and he was just a victim like myself and we were in this together," Kardashian added.

Earlier, Kardashian's former stylist Simone Harouche told the courtroom she heard Kardashian screaming upstairs in the apartment during the robbery.

"What I heard specifically was 'I have babies and I need to live, take everything, I need to live,'" Harouche said.
