Heartbreak hits differently when love feels close yet never arrives. Caught in a cycle of hope and hesitation, it’s like calling out into the void, waiting for someone to answer. The pain of being strung along brings a rush of emotions you can’t quite name. Multi-talented singer-songwriter, and ELLE Bestie, Jean Seizure gives voice to those unspoken feelings in her new single, "why won’t you just love me". Her soulful vocals and heart-wrenching lyrics capture the emotional ambiguity of being left waiting.
Part of Jean's forthcoming debut EP POV, this single sets the tone for a raw and emotionally-charged line-up. Her debut EP is a six-track compilation that unfolds like a personal memoir. Each song capturing a distinct chapter of her life, drawing listeners into her world. From stories of quiet heartbreak to moments of profound clarity, this project stands as her most vulnerable and honest one yet.

Stepping away from the masculine image she was once associated with, Jean sees this forthcoming EP as an opportunity to reclaim her identity publicly and artistically. Having worn many hats throughout her career, Jean peels back each layer to reveal a gentle and introspective soul beneath it all.
With this EP, she takes a step into the light with her true, unfiltered self and owns the moment. This time, she is rewriting her own narrative with no room for assumptions—one of tenderness, self-definition, and emotional authenticity.

Forging Her Own Path

Jean has always been seen as a trailblazer as she fearlessly dives into every creative venture possible. Before establishing herself in Singapore's music scene, some may know her as a child actress in MediaCorp dramas such as Price of Peace (1997) and Stepping Out (1999). She also remains the only Singaporean artist to appear twice on the New York Times Square Billboard, and recently performed her own stunts in Miu Miu’s Women’s Tales #27 campaign.
Fans can look forward to Jean's debut EP 'POV' releasing in October this year. Till then, enjoy her latest single and music video below.
