Glass skin may have started as a K-beauty trend, but it has since become a backstage (and IRL) staple. The secret, however, isn't piling on layers of highlighter. It's understanding where light naturally hits the face and enhancing those areas strategically. Dior Backstage's new Glassy Glow Stick is designed to do exactly that, delivering what Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup, describes as a "beautiful glossy, almost wet luminosity".

Unlike traditional powder highlighters, the Glassy Glow Stick has a melting balm texture infused with cherry oil. The formula hydrates skin for up to 24 hours while imparting a reflective sheen that can be layered from subtle radiance to a full glass-skin effect. The result is skin that looks fresh and healthy rather than glittery or overly made up.
Just how do you use it? The trick is restraint. Rather than swiping it across the entire face, apply it only where light naturally catches: The tops of the cheekbones, brow bones, bridge of the nose, and cupid's bow. Philips also likes using it on the eyelids and lips for extra dimension. "You can apply them straight from the stick and blend them out with your fingertips," he says.

Available in seven translucent shades, the collection spans everything from fresh pinks and champagne tones to more playful lavender, mint and icy white hues. There are also two finishes to choose from: Glazed, which delivers a pearlescent glow, and Glossy, a shimmer-free finish that enhances the skin's natural radiance. The latter is particularly useful for those who like the idea of glass skin but not necessarily the sparkle that often comes with it. If you're wondering which shade brand ambassadors Jisoo and Jenna Ortega are wearing in the campaign imagery, it's 001 Glazed Pink, a soft pearlescent pink that adds just a hint of colour and shine, and 034 Glazed Bubble, a beigey shimmer that adds a layer of dimension over blush or contouring powder.
For extra dimension, layer Dior Backstage Rosy Glow beneath the stick. Applying the powder blush slightly higher on the cheekbones and blending towards the temples helps create a fresher, more lifted appearance while allowing the highlighter to catch the light more naturally.

For those who love a coordinated makeup look, Dior Backstage is now offering four limited-edition "Juicy Pinks" curation across Rosy Glow, Rosy Glow Stick, and Lip Glow Butter. Inspired by tropical fruits, the collection spans everything from the soft nude-pink warmth of Pomelo and the rosy-mauve tones of Dragonfruit to the brighter, more playful Guava and the richer berry-brown hues of Goji. Like the existing Rosy Glow range, the blushes react to the skin's pH to create a customised flush, while matching Lip Glow Butters allow you to carry the colour story from cheeks to lips. Wear them individually or layered together for a fresh, monochromatic look that feels youthful without trying too hard.
To lock everything in place, finish with Dior Backstage Airflash Mist, which doubles as both a setting spray and hydrating mist. Infused with hyaluronic acid, it can be used before makeup to prep the skin, between steps to boost wear, or as a final veil to maintain that fresh, dewy finish throughout the day. Philips calls it "the all access backstage product" for good reason.
In a nutshell, the best glow products aren't the ones that scream "highlighter". They're the ones that make people wonder whether you've just come back from a facial, a holiday, or simply had the best sleep of your life.
