Anya Taylor-Joy has defied the odds (aka, the recent downpour we’ve endured) and proved that you can still use up the remnants of your summer wardrobe in fall with style.

Arriving at the Dior SS25 show during Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday, the actor wore a beige crochet crop top styled with a sheer midi skirt. The 28-year-old complemented the look with a pair of chunky black biker boots and a khaki jacket, proving that by adding a few staple FW24 items you can make your summer wardrobe work for you—no matter the weather.

The actor’s look seemingly drew inspiration from the catwalk, which featured heavy black looks mixed in with neutral tones, sleeveless camel trenches, sheer beige floor-length dresses and drop waist sparkly midi skirts.

Crochet made a big return earlier this year and was worn by the likes of Taylor Swift, Emily Ratajkowski, Amal Clooney and Dua Lipa. On the catwalk, the likes of The Row, Max Mara, and Proenza Schouler peppered their SS24 collections with crochet detailing, with high street brands like John Lewis, Uniqlo and &OtherStories jumping on the trend that was once relegated to the realms of Ibiza and Glastonbury.

While Taylor-Joy showed that style isn’t confined to seasons, her fellow attendees seemingly embraced their winter wardrobes with full gusto.

Rosamund Pike and Elizabeth Debicki championed monochrome ensembles, with the former opting for a touch of white lace collar detailing, while The Crown star accessorised with a royal-inspired black and white checked headscarf.
