Singapore-based lifestyle brand Coehl has always stood for more than just functional accessories. Known for its soft-spoken elegance—braided straps, MagClick-compatible cases, and versatile lanyards—Coehl crafts objects of quiet beauty for women who move through the world with intention.

This year, the brand took that ethos one step further with its first-ever artist collaboration: A capsule collection with fashion illustrator Grace Ciao, whose floral brush strokes are admired for their delicate expression and feminine strength.

What started as a tribute to women on International Women’s Day has since bloomed into In Full Bloom—a limited-edition series that pairs Coehl’s minimalist DNA with Grace’s signature watercolour florals. For the soft spoken artist, the collaboration was deeply meaningful. “Using flowers as a storytelling medium is how I express myself,” she says. “Seeing my illustrations come to life on Coehl’s accessories is incredibly special and rewarding. These are pieces people can carry with them every day, and the thought that a little part of my art might connect with someone like that means a lot.”

Choosing Ciao to partner Coehl to launch its debut artist collaboration line was something natural and organic. “Grace Ciao’s work stood out to us for its delicacy and restraint. There’s a softness to her brushstrokes, a quiet confidence in her compositions, that aligned with how we approach design," shares Amanda Chan, senior brand strategist for Coehl. “We weren’t just looking for decoration, we wanted a shared sensibility. This felt less like a collaboration and more like a natural coming together of two creative perspectives with a mutual respect for beauty, intention and craft.”

We find out from Coehl’s creative team that translating the artwork into functional objects was a delicate process. “We wanted the collection to feel like a natural extension of our brand, staying true to Coehl’s DNA while also celebrating something new and unique,” shares senior product designer Gladys Phan. “The challenge was finding ways to integrate Grace’s illustrations into the accessories without losing sight of the practicality we’re known for.”

What started as a celebration of women has grown into something lasting. “I’m really proud of how everything came together, it feels like a fresh chapter for Coehl,” expresses senior creative Chee Ying. "As our first collaboration, it was important that the creative direction stayed rooted in what Coehl stands for: Thoughtfulness, subtle strength, and design that speaks quietly but with purpose."

Each piece in the In Full Bloom collection—from hand straps to cases—is imbued with intentional beauty. The floral motifs are subtle but expressive, designed to serve not just as accessories, but as everyday reminders of a woman’s strength and grace. “What I love about this collection is how it brings my art into the everyday,” says Grace. “These pieces aren’t just accessories to me, they’re little reminders of beauty and intention that you can carry with you, wherever you go.”

Now available exclusively at coehl.co, In Full Bloom is a reminder that when women create together, something truly beautiful takes root.
