As they celebrate their fifth anniversary, ITZY are setting their sights firmly on the future. Their gratitude for the support of their MIDZYs (the name of the ITZY fandom) is evident, but these girls are hungry for more. Over the past five years, they’ve grown not just as a group, but they’ve navigated the whirlwind of fame with remarkable poise and resilience. We asked them about their journey so far, favourite concert moments, and how they spend their time off-stage.

How has your experience been touring internationally so far?

Yuna: It can get tiring moving around a lot. Managing my physical strength was something I found a little difficult. Nevertheless, I feel greatly rewarded by being able to see MIDZYs looking at me from the stage.

Who were your musical influences growing up?

Yuna: I look up to great artists like Twice, Blackpink and IU. There’s this song I really like that was recommended to me by a MIDZY, called “Sunny Days” by Korean rock band Wave to Earth. It somehow puts me at ease.

What advice would you give your younger self?

Yuna: Dear young Yuna, you’re doing well. You’ll soon meet a lot of good people who love you, so get ready!

What are some of your favourite things to do when you’re not working?

Yuna: I love games, books and dramas. It’s been an interesting five years for ITZY.
